With its wide stance, long bonnet and short rear end, the new SLK is a celebration of iconic roadster design. The distinctive upright nose stands proud of the headlamps and front wings, giving the car a powerful, purposeful look. The signature single louvre radiator grille with large central star forges a strong visual link with both the new SLS AMG and the CLS-Class. New-look headlamps with LED technology transition into a dramatic shoulder line, which sweeps back past chrome-finned vents in the front wings – an echo of classic Mercedes-Benz roadsters of the 1950s. The rear end, featuring LED tail lights and LED indicators, houses the largest boot in this segment. On the SLK AMG Sport model line, AMG light alloy wheels, AMG bodystyling, darkened headlamps and tinted tail lights further enhance the roadster’s powerful styling. In addition, both models offer a choice of vario-roof including the panoramic roof and the ingenious Magic Sky Control version with variable transparency. Fitted as standard, sports seats feature high side bolsters for outstanding lateral support - invaluable when you’re putting the SLK through its paces on winding country roads. Four-way mechanical adjustment is another welcome feature.

Depending on the model line, upholstery is either fabric or fine quality leather. For added luxury, sumptuous Nappa leather upholstery can be specified, as can the optional Memory package. This includes fully electric seat adjustment, 4-way lumbar support for driver and front passenger, and memory function to store individual seat settings. Crash-responsive Neck-Pro head restraints integrated in the seat backrests help significantly reduce the risk of whiplash injuries in a collision.
